What is reverse osmosis?

Reverse osmosis is an ecological-physical process by which substances dissolved in liquids are separated. By concentrating these substances, particularly pure water can be obtained. Tap water is pressed under pressure through a semi-permeable membrane. Only the smallest water molecules can pass through this system. Harmful substances in the water, such as pesticides, salts, limescale, hormones and heavy metals, are too large to penetrate through the pores of the membrane. The reverse osmosis process was originally developed for seawater desalination.

How the OSMOLUX reverse osmosis water filter works

The OSMOLUX water filter cleans the water in three stages: First, large dirt particles such as sand, pebbles or rust are filtered out. At this stage, organic impurities are also reduced. In the second stage, the water is cleaned of harmful substances and unpleasant odors and tastes. The advantage of this process is that they do not remain in the filter, but are discharged directly into the waste water – a practical and pleasant effect of reverse osmosis technology! Before the water reaches the tap in the last stage, it is filtered again through an activated carbon filter, giving it a particularly pure and refreshing taste.

Simple assembly

OSMOLUX is a system under the sink, intended for installation under it. A special faucet as well as connecting materials are included in the package.
